In regard to the H8 DAQ, it seems to me that relatively little needs to be
transported from CERN:
 
  - your DECstation can be used in place of the SUN for PAW and tb_rmon;
 
  - I presume KEK can provide sufficient NIM crates and modules for the 
     trigger system etc.  [I can provide a minimum requirements list]
 
  - Similarly, I'm sure a text mode terminal for the RAID can be provided;
 
  - You have a VME crate which *ought* to be able to run the various VME
     modules needed.
 
So assuming your VME crate is OK, I think we need only 
 
  - the RAID;
  - the RAID's special serial, SCSI and ethernet cables;
  - the RAID disk;
  - the TDC;
  - the CORBO;
  - the Bus Arbitrator/Display;
 
These are relatively small and should be cheap and fast to ship.
 
Steinar has asked for my thoughts on the timetable for getting the hardware
from the UK (I believe John has it in Cambridge in preparation for the '96
H8 tests).
